As noted in other posts, the club has decided to offer a new running session aimed at those who haven’t run as an adult before or who are only just starting out. We’ll take you from walking to gentle running, teaching you good technique and injury prevention as we go along and giving you the chance to develop confidence in your running and to progress to the other club run sessions. No-one gets left behind.
Date: Sessions start Thursday 8th January (and every Thursday thereafter)
Location: Meet front door of Bellahouston Leisure Centre (Map and directions at http://www.glasgowlife.org.uk/sport/glasgow-club/bellahouston/Pages/travel.aspx) (Note this is a different location to the other run session and is different to information previously advertised)
Cost: £2 (£1.50 students / concessions. £1 under 18’s)
Please ensure that you wear well fitting trainers, waterproof top and sufficient clothing appropriate appropriate for 45-60 mins activity outdoors in January i.e. lots of warm, layers including hat, gloves, buff all advisable. Please note that this session will be low impact i.e. walking, conditioning etc. so dress appropriately for this. (It’s better to have to take off a layer than stand shivering wishing you’d brought an extra one!) We will be in one location so you will be able to put on / take off layers as appropriate.
Please also bring a bottle of water as you will need to keep hydrated.
