Twenty club members, both adults and juniors, raced at the Helix Duathlon Festival at the weekend and many came home with medals.
The races, organised by Grangemouth Triathlon Club, took place at Helix Park, near Falkirk, with the backdrop of the Kelpies.
A duathlon consists of a run, then bike, then a run.

Rachel is first female
Rachel Hunt had a great race and was first female overall in the Sprint Duathlon in a time of 1:22:59.
She said: “It was a great end of season chance to do something new and different.
“I’m very pleased with my last 3.7km run at 4min/km pace as I’ve been training for ultras. I’ve been trying out Thursday nights at GTC runs, which has been helpful and fun.”
Although, she confesses: “I was second last in T2 and need some lessons in putting on my shoes!”

Nicola Dawson was second female vet and fourth female overall.

Third for Craig
Craig Ross came home third male and second senior. Douglas Holmes also competed and finished fourth male vet.
