Swimming, Cycling, Running. We do it best!

Glasgow Tri Newlsetter 91

Dear members,

It should be a fairly short newsletter this week, two announcements and some parkrun results.

First of all, we will be running some more swim filming sessions at our Sunday swim at the Western Baths. It is very useful to get yourself filmed to see what you are actually doing and not what you think you are.  You will get some feedback on the night together with a link to the video of your session. We are going for a slightly different format than previously, with one lane being filmed DURING the swim session. If you normally swim in the lane being filmed but don’t want video’d then you can just join another lane for the night. You will do your normal coached swim set from 19.30 to 20.30 and you will each get video’d during the session. The added advantage of this is we hope to film you how you actually swim, not at your sunday best.  From 20.30 we will do some group feedback so please get showered and changed as soon as possible. All this for a bargainous £7 (£3.50 for the swim/£3.50 for the filming and feedback) – Please note that this session is for club members only. Please be ready to swim by 19:25 on the night. Sign up in on the website only at the following link. (you will need to login to the website). http://www.glasgowtriathlonclub.co.uk/swim-filming-western-baths-2/

Many thanks to those of you who filled out our survey asking you to select a club charity. Results are detailed in the picture below, indicating the Yorkhill Children’s Charity is the most popular choice. If anyone has any good ideas for fundraising, please emailpresident@glasgowtriathlonclub.co.uk.

Apologies for the cancellation of our Sunday cycle fitness session – needless to say the weather was not appropriate for a road session! Weather permitting, the next session will be on 31st January (and subsequently 7th February and 21st February).

Just a quick reminder in case anyone missed it last week, our warm up location for run session on Thursday night is now on Kirkdale Drive NOT inside the park beside the Palace of Art/football pitches.
