Glasgow Triathlon Club will soon be launching an on-line survey with the aim of developing a strategy for the next five years. The board of trustees hopes that as many club members as possible will participate in the survey.
GTC survey background
As you may be aware, GTC became a registered charity earlier this year and the club has some key objectives. These include advancing public participation in sport, with a focus on triathlon, duathlon and multi-sports. Essentially the club has put these objectives in place to formalise and build on the founding principles that have made us all proud to be part of GTC.
In addition to the committee, we are now supported by a board of trustees, which helps to ensure the club acts in ways that will meet these objectives and safeguard our members, assets and reputation.
GTC has changed considerably over the last five years, growing in size to become Scotland’s biggest triathlon club. Given all these changes, the trustees thought that this was an excellent time to develop our strategy for the next five years, building on our previous strengths and ensuring the future is just as successful.
Help shape the future of the club
GTC is about its members, so to make sure we get the strategy right we are asking for your help. A survey will soon be going on-line and the board is keen to hear what our members, both seniors and juniors, think. This is your opportunity to shape the future of your club.
GTC have been lucky to secure the support of a professional company, mostly consulting, which will help us to develop our strategy. One of mostly’s consultants, James, is a former member of the club, so he has kindly offered the company’s services for free.
It’s hoped that as many club members, seniors and juniors, will take the time to answer the on-line survey. It doesn’t matter if you are an active member, or not, because we would like to hear from you. This will help us to make sure that the strategy works for as many of the club’s members as possible.
Keep an eye on your email, this website and on social media for the link to the survey. It’s coming soon.
