The latest Covid pandemic restrictions mean that Glasgow Triathlon Club is unable to coach group training sessions until February at the earliest. However, this doesn’t mean our younger members should stop exercising and getting outdoors when possible.
Your coaches have created a series of on-line sessions and challenges this month. To participate in the sessions see the booking page.
Strength & Conditioning Zoom with coach Nicola
6.30pm to 7.15pm, Wednesdays, January 13, 20 and 27
Capacity 16, cost £2 per session.
Turbo Zoom with coach Billy
6.30pm to 7.15pm on Thursdays, January 14, 21 and 28
Capacity 16, cost £2 per session
Note: Capacity will be increased if there is demand.
Weekly challenge activity and a run session
To do in your own space, whenever suits you.
Week 1, starts January 11
The bike challenge: Trackstanding for as long as possible. Have a look at this video to get some tips.
The run session: Find a park or safe area to train and warm up using favourite skills and drills.
Then complete: 8 x 1 minute fast, 30 seconds walk in a safe circuit or out-and-back course.
In addition, head coach Billy will be available to chat with the parents of new junior members to give a brief review of GTC junior activity and then take questions at 4pm on Saturday January 30. If you wish to join, please email Billy and he will send you an invitation in the afternoon prior to the session.
