Glasgow Triathlon Club juniors are being encouraged to join a Family Fun Week – and raise funds for charity.
To mark Children in Need, which this year takes place on November 13, juniors and their families can take part in an “Act Your Age” challenge.
Since GTC is now 22 years old, the challenge will use 22 as the magic number.
GTC coach Nicola Dawson has come up with the idea. She said: “After the success of the Family Fun Days earlier in the year, this time we will be hosting a Family Fun Week.
“We want to raise money for Children in Need and there will be two fun activities to do. The magic number of 22 will be incorporated into the challenges.”
Fun challenge 1: On the weekend of November 7 and 8, junior members will have 22 minutes to see how far they can swim/bike/run. You can choose just one activity, or do two or three.
After the challenge, tell Nicola the name of the person, the activity and distance. If you have taken any photos please do send these to her, too.
Nicola will then add up how many people took part and the total distance covered.
Fun challenge 2: At coached sessions from November 9 to 13, the coaches will choose an activity, such as burpees, star jumps or laps (who knows what it will be?!) and call for participants to do this 22 times.
There will be more information nearer the time.
If you can, please feel make a donation to the Just Giving page.
